OrangeDay MC run – a manifestation against violence against girls and women

Every third woman is subjected to physical or sexual violence. Violence against girls and women is a widespread public health problem, a serious violation of human rights and represents a global health hazard. The effects of violence vary from immediate to long-term physical, mental and sexual consequences for girls and women. In too many cases violence leads to the loss of girls and women.

When the UN Secretary General in 2008 launched the UNiTE To End Violence Against Women campaign, November 25th, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was also announced as Orange Day. A day for governments, companies, organizations, the media, civil society and individuals to pay attention to and take a stand against violence against women.

Today, they raise 25th every month and urge people around the world to wear something in Orange.

Together with companies, cities and organizations, we manifests for a world free of violence against women and girls. OrangeDay MC run between cities to show our support…
